To edit a method – to change the method name, calls, or voice file, or perhaps to correct an error in the place notation – select the Edit menu and then Edit method. This will display the select method dialog:

Select the method you want to edit by double-clicking on it, or by highlighting it and clicking on OK. The Edit method dialog will be displayed:

This allows you to change any of the displayed attributes of the method or to select a different voice file. You can also choose to make this the default method, which is the method that Abel will initially select when you select a generic composition such as Plain Courses (see Compositions for details of generic compositions).

Click on OK to save your modifications or Cancel to return to Abel with the method configuration unchanged.
